How we do it
We clean the existing surface, repair any failed spots, mill high areas and edges where needed for a smooth transition, then lay and compact a new layer of hot-mix asphalt over the top.
Resurfacing is only worth it when the base is sound, so we check first. If the base has failed, we will tell you, and quote the repair that will actually last.

Commonly 10 to 15 years or more, depending on traffic and how sound the base is.
Is resurfacing cheaper than new asphalt?
Usually, yes, because the old asphalt stays as part of the structure.
Can you overlay concrete?
Sometimes. We look at the concrete’s condition and joints before recommending it.
