Paving in Fort Worth: what’s different here
Fort Worth passed a million people in 2024, and its south side has been a big part of that growth, especially along the Chisholm Trail Parkway, which opened in 2014 and runs south to Cleburne. We work all across the south side and in the neighboring cities of Forest Hill, Crowley and Everman, which are some of our busiest areas.
Fort Worth has clear rules for residential driveways. Front-yard parking is only allowed on the driveway, driveways have to be hard-surfaced and dust-free (compacted gravel inside a border is the minimum for single-family homes), parking pads have to match the driveway material, and driveways can cover no more than half the front yard. Building or widening a driveway approach in the parkway, the strip between the street and your property, needs a city permit with a site plan.
Water is the other big local issue. Flash flooding is the most common kind of flooding in Fort Worth, and Village Creek and Sycamore Creek run through the south side. We grade every driveway and lot so water goes where it should, and size culverts properly when a driveway crosses a ditch.

FAQ
Paving in Fort Worth: common questions
Can I widen my driveway in Fort Worth?
Usually, as long as the driveway stays within half of the front yard and the new section matches the existing material. Widening the approach in the parkway needs a city permit.
Do you work in Forest Hill, Crowley and Everman?
Yes. They’re among our busiest areas in DFW.
Asphalt or concrete for a Fort Worth driveway?
Both meet the city’s hard-surface rule. Asphalt usually costs less up front; concrete lasts longer with less upkeep. We price both.
